1. NDA 2025 Eligibility Criteria

A. Nationality:

Candidates must be:

• Indian citizen, or
• Subject of Nepal, or
• Subject of Bhutan, or
• Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, intending to settle permanently in India, or
• A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, East African countries (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam), intending to settle in India.

B. Educational Qualification:

• For Army Wing: Candidates must have passed the 12th class examination from a recognized board or its equivalent.
• For Air Force and Navy Wings: Candidates must have passed the 12th class with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

C. Marital Status:

• Only unmarried male candidates are eligible for NDA.

D. Gender:

• Only male candidates are eligible to apply for NDA.

2. NDA 2025 Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 16.5 years (as of January 1, 2025).
• Maximum Age: 19.5 years (as of January 1, 2025).

This means candidates must be born between July 2, 2006, and July 1, 2009.

3. NDA 2025 Height and Weight Requirements

The NDA has specific height and weight standards to ensure candidates meet physical requirements for the rigorous training and life in the Armed Forces.

A. Height Standards:

• For Army:
  • Minimum height: 157 cm (5 feet 2 inches)
• For Navy and Air Force:
  • Minimum height: 162.5 cm (5 feet 3 inches)

Relaxation in Height:

• Candidates from certain hilly areas (e.g., Gorkhas, Garhwalis, Kumaonis) or from tribal areas are allowed a relaxation of 5 cm in height.
  • For these candidates, the minimum height requirement is 152 cm (Army) and 157.5 cm (Navy/Air Force).

B. Weight Standards:

The weight must be proportionate to the height. Here is a general weight chart:

C. Other Physical Criteria:

• Candidates must also meet other medical standards such as healthy vision, no deformities, and good general health.

4. Medical Standards

Candidates must pass a medical examination conducted after the written exam and SSB interview. The standards will include checks for vision, hearing, and general health to ensure the candidate is fit for service.

• Vision Standards:
  • For Air Force: Uncorrected vision (without glasses) should be 6/36, and corrected vision (with glasses) should be 6/9 in both eyes.
  • For Army and Navy: Uncorrected vision can be up to 6/9, with corrected vision 6/6.
